Aloha Friday Photograph: Kilauea Fountain Eruption

Erin captured this picture on Might sixth throughout Kilauea’s 20th episode of this on-again-off-again eruption part. The primary episode of those unimaginable lava fountains began December 23, 2024 in Halemaumau crater inside Hawaii Volcanoes Nationwide Park. The fountains have been reaching heights of properly over 500 ft (150 meters).

Erin advised us that she’s been ready/attempting for over 20 years to witness an eruption. Her endurance was lastly rewarded by this spectacular exercise. She even braved chilly, windy and wet situations to see it.

The lava exercise has been confined to Kilauea’s summit caldera in Hawaii Volcanoes Nationwide Park. It isn’t posing a hazard to properties.
