After temporary Kona airport closure, check your flights to/from KOA for potential disruptions

Ellison Onizuka Kona Worldwide Airport (KOA)

Yesterday afternoon, flights out and in of Kona (KOA) on Hawaii’s Large Island have been halted on account of a crack within the runway. The cracks are believed to have been attributable to current heavy rain.

As of this morning, runway repairs are full and flights are again in progress. In case you are flying in or out of KOA within the subsequent few days, the Hawaii Tourism Authority recommends that you just test along with your airline for potential disruptions.
